Look at this sinful pizza I enjoyed in historic Downtown Oakland! I’m not a usually a fan of deep dish, but their 1-inch crust is so light and crispy. The pepperonis and bacon chucks are tender and crisp… the cheese has crisp edges too. Square Pie Guys drizzle a “hot honey” which I didn’t care for because it wasn’t spicy, just sticky and a waste of calories! The price of the pies is a good value considering the weight and the size of the pizza. If you’re parking along the street, feed enough time in the meter so you can enjoy the goodness of the pizza and maybe walk off some of its richness while window shopping along the quaint shops downtown. Love their Detroit style pizza! It's on the pricey side but totally worth it. The pie is thick but light and crispy. The toppings are never skimpy and you get full flavors of every ingredient! When you order a regular pie it comes in 4 squares, I can easily get full off two slices if I'm not getting an appetizer. I love that they partner with other bay area establishments and do a collab special pies it keeps the flavors fresh and new. They also donate some of the sales proceeds to charity to either the partnering charity or to feed the people charity (which could also explain the prices too). All of their appetizers are hella good especially their szechuan chicken wings... the skin is leaking ght and crispy, the meat juice and they add a bit of sweetness to it that's different but really adds to everything. Some of the best pizza I've had, albeit a little pricey for the amount you get, hence the 4-star rating. The staff was super friendly. I loved the asparagus. Even got my picky daughter to eat it. I don't remember which pizza we ordered, but it was delicious. The monkey bread was ordered to go. I bet if we ate it while it was fresh it would have been better. Overall a good place for pizza lovers who want an elevated pie. I'll be back.

I visited this restaurant for dinner with teammates. The ambience and service were good. We sat in the outdoor patio area which was comfy because of the heaters. I gave 3 stars because they weren’t open to customizing the pizza. Basically I didn’t want any sauce and just wanted to go with an olive oil base but the kitchen denied this request (I follow Jain diet - i.e. lacto vegetarian diet + no root vegetables). So instead went for a chilled bowl salad. Salad was really good and the portion size was huge, but I was in the mood to try their pies. Hopefully next time they are more open to customization requests. Recommend this place! #jain-friendly #vegan-friendly #vegetarian-friendly

Have some time for lunch like to give it a try. Actually it was pretty good. I enjoyed the different pizza. Never had hot honey sauce on my pizza. I will be returning.

This place is in my top 5 pizza in the bay. They’ve got the classics and a seasonal option, and I always look forward to seeing what their next local collab is. But most importantly, they have vegan/dairy-free options that still give that caramelized cheese crust!! For a very cheese-based meal, I’m so glad they still put effort into the vegan option. It’s definitely pricier than expected since the pizzas are 4 slices, but I think it’s worth - the ingredients are really fresh, and it’s on a thick airy crust so I personally can only eat 2 slices max. I follow their Instagram because they’ll sometimes do a BOGO deal. Great for a special occasion (like the Lions beating the Chiefs 😎) Also not really relevant for reviewing but can y’all please consider bringing back that confit tomato pie from your collab with Samin? It was one of the best pizzas I’ve had!!

Honestly the pizza is good, but the excessive money for everything is absurd. 2.00 for a pack of hot honey, 3.00 per topping, 1.00 extra for the sauce. You’re leaving with a $35 dollar pizza with no dipping sauce! Nothing is included! All the pizzas that are decently priced you can not make any changes, but you can create the same pizza with less options for double the price. Do better!!! You’re literally robbing your community for BREAD and SAUCE!!!

Man this is some FANTASTIC Detroit style Pizza. Better than most actual Detroit Pizza. Even my own. So delicious, crispy soft dough, great sauce and cheese. The pepperoni is outstanding. I wish this was in Detroit honestly. Dining area needs work. They blocked off a large area to make boxes and place to go orders.
